Riccardo Chailly is, without a doubt, one of the great conductors of our times. At the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig, he conducted Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Mahler’s Symphony No. 1. The violin concerto is played by renowned violinist Julian Rachlin. The Lithuanian-born musician is one of the most charismatic classical music protagonists of his generation. He has won many competitions and has also founded the Chamber Music Festival “Julian Rachlin & Friends” in Dubrovnik, which has garnered world-wide recognition.
