Available on Arte Concert – Gabriela Montero performs her Latin Concerto

Accentus Music has recorded the concert featuring the Latin Grammy winners Gabriela Montero, the YOA Orchestra of the Americas and conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto. Together, they performed Montero’s “Latin Concerto” and Ravel’s Piano Concerto along with other works. The concert, which took place in the Teatro del Lago in Frutillar, Chile, one of the most exceptional concert halls in the world, can be viewed on Arte Concert until January 11, 2018. New documentary “Broken Music” – a second look

The filming for our new documentary „Broken Music“ (WT), directed by Marita Stocker, about the Zakaria Paliashvili Central Music School continues in Tbilisi, Georgia. There was hardly a great Georgian musician who didn’t break into the world of music via the eye of the needle of the Paliashvili. But the glorious history of the school is faced with extinction: the building itself is in danger of falling apart and the current teachers are over 80 years old. New release: Bach’s mass in b minor | Blomstedt, Gewandhausorchester, Dresdner Kammerchor

Accentus Music’s new DVD/Blu-ray of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Mass in B minor performed by the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and the Dresdner Kammerchor under the baton of Herbert Blomstedt will be available on November 17th in Germany and soon in other countries. The concert in the Thomaskirche Leipzig concluded the Bachfest 2017. For more information about the production, click here.

At the closing concert of the Lucerne Festival 2010, the Wiener Philharmoniker performed Maurice Ravel’s probably most famous piece of music under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel: the Boléro. New release: Midori plays Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas

The new DVD/Blu-ray of Midori playing Johann Sebastian Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin was recorded at the Castle Köthen, the location where Bach actually composed these masterpieces. Playing in the historical chambers made a deep impression on Midori: “The sound of the music – how it actually came out, how it felt to be in those rooms – those are the memories I will take with me.” The DVD/Blu-ray will be available in Germany on October 27th and soon in other countries. Our new documentary about Gidon Kremer – a third look

Gidon Kremer is one of the most exciting artists of our time. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, a portrait of the great violinist and intellectual emerges. It will focus on Kremer’s current work and will also take a look back at the stations of an unprecedented artistic career. Recently, we were in Berlin and at the Kronberg Festival – here are a few impressions!

Screening in Leipzig: In Between – Isang Yun

On the occasion of Isang Yun’s centenary the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig screens our documentary “In Between – Isang Yun“. The film will be shown on October 17th, 11 a.m, at the Orchesterprobesaal, Grassistraße 8. Afterwards there will be a round table together with director Maria Stodtmeier, Heinz Holliger and Wolfgang Sparrer. Admission is free.
