Stravinsky – The Rake’s Progress

This production of “The Rake’s Progress” with the Göteborgs Symfoniker marks Barbara Hannigan’s debut as an opera conductor and is a special “labor of love” for her since she, who has sung the role of Anne Truelove many times, has hand-picked the entire of soloists in international auditions in Stockholm, Zürich, Paris and London as part of her mentoring program “Equilibrium”.

In this unique and refined semistaged production, director Linus Fellbom invites the audience to a journey in time and space, from a distant future to the present day, and on to 18th century London.
