Daniel Barenboim – Liszt Piano Concertos
Music by two great composers of the 19th century, Franz Liszt and Richard Wagner, were combined in one concert: two superb orchestral works – A Faust Overture and Siegfried Idyll – by Richard Wagner and the Piano Concertos No. 1 and 2 of Franz Liszt. With Daniel Barenboim on the piano, and the Staatskapelle Berlin under the baton of Pierre Boulez, this event was a very special musical highlight of the Liszt year 2011.
