New DVD/Blu-ray: Riccardo Chailly and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra | Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky

Accentus Music’s new release of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra performing works by Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky under the baton of Riccardo Chailly will be available on May 25th in Germany and soon thereafter in other countries. At the Lucerne Festival 2017, they performed pieces based on famous works of literature: excerpts from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Manfred Symphony. Accentus Music’s new release of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 performed by the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under the baton of Riccardo Chailly is already available in Germany and soon in other countries. New DVD/Blu-ray: First audiovisual release of Andris Nelsons and Gewandhausorchester

Accentus Music’s new DVD/Blu-ray is the first audiovisual release of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under the baton of its new music director Andris Nelsons. In May 2017, they performed works by Antonín Dvořák. The DVD/Blu-ray is now available in Germany, at the beginning of March in the UK and at the beginning of April in the US. New album: Michael Barenboim performs Sciarrino, Tartini, Paganini and Berio

After his debut solo album with music by Bach, Bartók and Boulez, Michael Barenboim’s second album is also dedicated to works for solo violin and features compositions by Salvatore Sciarrino, Giuseppe Tartini, Luciano Berio, and Niccolò Paganini, sketching a short history of Italian solo violin literature. New Release: Judith Ingolfsson and Vladimir Stoupel perform Poulenc, Ferroud and Ravel

Following up on their “Concert-Centenaire” trilogy, the renowned duo of violinist Judith Ingolfsson and pianist Vladimir Stoupel have released a fourth CD on the Accentus Music label. With this new album, they focus on the sonatas of Francis Poulenc, Pierre-Octave Ferroud and Maurice Ravel. The works stand out distinctly from the entire French tradition of Sonatas for violin and piano. The album is already available in Germany and at the beginning of 2018 in other countries.
