Zhu Xiao-Mei performs Bach’s French Suites – CD received the Supersonic-award

Posted on November 21, 2017

“Nothing happens at random during her performance, and yet the formal and structural parameters in which the ‘French Suites’ evolve do not constrain the interpreter. Through her subtle sense for the most delicate turns in this music, a completely free interplay of emotional intimacy and simplicity develops. Zhu Xiao-Mei is not an outstanding artist – she is a great musician.”
